CMS Highlights
Case and criminal history functions provide easy, instant retrieval of all pertinent data for cases, charges and parties. Cases may be updated by selecting a case or any element of a case including a party, sentence or related documents. An unlimited number of parties can be entered for each case along with multiple occurences of data for each party such as aliases and addresses. Persons frequently involved in case matters including police officers, prosecutors, bonding agents, etc., may be codified to assist in data entry and reporting.
Court scheduling is accomplished using Day, Week or Month-at-a-Glance calendars that clearly display court proceedings, judge schedules and courtroom availablility. Updating is achieved by choosing a day and time directly from the calendar interface. Only valid court dates and times for scheduling will display, preventing overlapping or overbooking of court proceedings.
Document Imaging allows electronic scanning and archival of case documents and aids data entry. Document lists provide a way to view and track the progress of case document actions such as issuances, service attempts, etc. Archived documents are completely secure and may be viewed or reprinted at any time.
Over 400 existing functions record and maintain information for criminal and civil case types. Many of these functions may be used as they currently exist, however all may be customized or enhanced to meet user agency requirements. New functions may be created to fulfill the special needs of a user agency.
A comprehensive list of forms and reports including active case listings, dockets and defendant histories can be immediately generated or scheduled to run at a specified time.

Court calendars handle the scheduling of cases, judges and courtrooms using a simple calendar-like interface. Business rules can be set to avoid non-business days and prevent scheduling conflicts. (Top)
All court events or proceedings can be scheduled. The parties chosen for the court event such as attorneys, judges, defendants, witnesses, etc. may be entered. A chronological history of events for individuals may be viewed at any time. (Top)
Parties such as attorneys, public defenders, prosecutors and even frequent expert witnesses may be entered and saved by the system. This allows for easy selection of parties for future court proceedings. (Top)
Users can easily set and modify bonds including the bond conditions. A history of bonds for an individual is maintained and includes the bond amount, date set and the judge who ordered the bond. (Top)
The complete disposition and sentencing information on any case is easily viewable on a single screen in a logical, easy-to-read format with important data highlighted. The entire sentence, including lengthy sentencing conditions may be viewed with ease. (Top)
Some cases produce a mountain of hardcopy documentation. All the documents produced in a case may be scanned and a digital image retained, for an unlimited amount of time, for easy management and reference. Arrest warrants, evidence photos and sentencing orders, complete with original signatures, are just a few of the types of documents that can be retained by the system. A simple list of documents may be displayed, sorted and viewed at any time. Additionally, the system can produce digital documents pre-filled with previously entered data. The produced documents can then be printed complete with formatting and logos. (Top)
CMS can easily merge two different cases into one. This often occurs when attorneys or judges wish to combine multiple cases. (Top)
